Today´s newsletter is dedicated to Japan House in São Paulo. Designed by Kengo Kuma and local firm FGMF, this is the first spot of three planned locations (also to open in London and Los Angeles). Japan House is devoted to disseminate Japanese culture.

Facing Paulista Avenue, the facade features an sculptural lattice made of cypress wood. An open gate allows the passer-byes to access a courtyard set back from the sidewalk. Textures with Japanese-inspired motifs are used in walls and screens throughout the building.
