The subject of today´s newsletter is the new building for the Instituto Ling. Located in Porto Alegre, in southern Brazil, the project is the result of a competition won by São Paulo-based architect Isay Weinfeld. The construction, an abstract concrete prism, occupies a corner on João Caetano street.

The realisation of the building celebrates 20 years of continuous work in the field of education, culture and art. With the new construction the institute widens its original purpose by expanding their activities, creating an interesting cultural center.
