Today´s newsletter features the new house designed by Metro Arquitetos Associados. Located in São Paulo, the project is the result of the interplay of three different volumes. Each volume assumes a different role and materiality; thus, the overall expression is the sum of independent pieces.

An elevated concrete volume houses the main social activities of the house, and takes advantage of its position related to the front yard. The second (almost hidden) volume contains the services, while visually anchors the house to the ground. Lastly, the metallic parasite with the studio appears as a totally independent prism, cantilevering over the garden.
