Lina Bo Bardi was born in Rome, Italy, on december 5th; therefore, tomorrow she would be 100 years old. In 1946 she and her husband Pietro Maria Bardi moved to Brazil, where she realised her most important architectural works. Today, some of them represent the essence of what we understand as Brazilian architecture.

Besides her famous constructions, where one could highlight the MASP, SESC Pompéia, her buildings in Salvador, Lina Bo Bardi designed several pieces of furniture, some of them specially conceived for particular projects. The opening image shows a current exhibition about her furniture, housed at the Glass House and curated by Sérgio Campos.
